The Property Couch is a podcast hosted by two of Australia’s Property Experts, Bryce Holdaway and Ben Kingsley. Their podcast is about helping people make smart property investment decisions.
This podcast offers in-depth analysis and guidance to help listeners make informed and confident investment decisions. Whether you’re a seasoned investor or just starting out, The Property Couch provides the knowledge and insights you need to succeed in property investment.
Their main business, Empower Wealth offers financial planning, mortgage broking, and buyer’s agent services.
They started their podcast about 7 years ago, and they had this website design for the first 2.5 years.
The website was poorly designed and did not clearly convey the purpose of the podcast or who it was for. The website lacked key elements such as a call-to-action, or a lead magnet above the fold. It was also missing a photo of the podcast hosts, or social proof to establish credibility.
They even had social media icons at the top of the page that was causing people to leave the site. They go to social media, and don’t come back.
The new website started with a strategy meeting with the hosts, Ben & Bryce, to get clear on the purpose of the website and to understand that they are passionate about educating people about property investing. We helped them with the strategy to focus on collecting leads with their new website, and now they have many resources they give away in return for an email address. They nurture those leads which builds more trust in their brand, which has lead to growing their financial planning business from 15 people to 90+ people!
Our redesign also included a clear value proposition, “The PropertyCouch Podcast: The Insider’s Guide to Management”, as well as the free chapter lead magnet prominently displayed. To further increase credibility, testimonials from Apple Podcast reviews were added as social proof.
The new website redesign was done professionally with psychological drivers like impact metrics, featured guests, social proof, an about page that tells their story with the milestones on their journey.
We also redesigned their Empower Wealth website which also improved their results for booking strategy sessions, which lead to sales for them.
Just a few months after the redesign they had about 3 times as many people opting in for the lead magnet, compared to their old website design, PLUS…
>They now have had over 10 million podcast downloads.
>They have collected well over 50,000 new leads.
